Apart from being lazy or succumb to procrastination, we often fail to effectively deal with change. Take our new year’s resolutions for example. How often do we vow that this year, things is REALLY going to be different… and by June… all our new year’s change intentions has disappeared like mist before the sun?
There is an age old Chinese adage that states… The longest and most difficult journey starts with taking the first step!
However, this merely is only one side of the coin. Yes, it is very true, that you have to take that all important first step, but then… you have to keep walking!
Initiating or starting a change project, although a very difficult decision to make and execute, is actually the easy part of your intended change project… what is much more difficult, is to keep your change project going – despite possible adversities – until intended or desired change outcomes are achieved successfully.
